Some funding schemes will only support businesses having a defined number of employees. Enquirers can choose from GRANTnet's pre-set range to indicate the number of staff they have, quickly filtering out unsuitable schemes.
To help identify different business types, GRANTnet's descriptions are clearly laid out, encouraging enquirers to click on main headings, where sub categories are revealed. Enquirers are then able to select the trade or profession that best suits them. A helpful search field is also included, which highlights the most appropriate options when an enquirer enters a keyword.
Certain areas are classified by an eligibility status, meaning that some grant schemes are restricted to the location of the applicant's business. GRANTnet's filter enables enquirers to input their postcode or town name, helping to narrow down their results to those best matches.
Items, projects and activities to be funded can be easily selected at this stage, either by using the search field against a keyword, such as 'building' or by investigating sub categories under clearly described main headings, like Business & Enterprise Development and Start up and Growth.
Some funding schemes stipulate a minimum or maximum budget relating to the amount of financial support they'll provide. GRANTnet's filter at this stage enables the enquirer to input an estimated value for their overall project. This helps the system to match up only the most suitable schemes.
Alongside funding programmes, GRANTnet also carries details of award schemes, mentoring initiatives and advisory assistance. Enquirers may opt to see information about all support services available to them, choose only one type or select a combination of two types.
